Coordinación Eléctrica y Computación
The department is constituted of various independent groups working on subjects mainly related to control theory and applications, power grid stability, smart grids, electrical system modelling and simulations, power systems.
The specific group working on applied superconductivity led by Dr. Frederic Trillaud, Research assistant professor, is constituted of undergraduate and graduate students, of collaborators from other divisions of the National Autonomous University of Mexico as well as the University of Guanajuato and the industry. The objective is to promote the relation between the academic sector and the private sector through R&D projects involving superconductivity or other new technologies applied to power systems, medical apparatus and High Energy Physics instruments amongst possible applications.
